Anna Brown

Founder / Director

Anna is the Founder and Director of Toi Āria. She believes that design has a role to play in delivering public good. Her expertise is in co-design and participatory design and she is interested in how conversations and community engagement can drive social change.

Anna is a Professor of Design and Public Good at Toi Rauwhārangi, College of Creative Art at Massey University's Wellington campus where she supervises postgraduate PhD and Masters of Design students. Anna is a principal investigator at Te Pūnaha Matatini where she is the project lead for The Co-Production Project. Her research interests include: design for resilience; design for social change; design for health and transdisciplinary and creative collaborations.

Anna is the chair of Massey University Press and a practising book designer.
