Mana maunga: A conceptual design exploration of power and language beyond contemporary time advocates for greater space for indigenous approaches to rangahau, emphasising their complexity rather than simply introducing or incorporating perspectives into a western-dominant model. The findings of this thesis offer a design exploration for rangahau practices that celebrate the richness of whakapapa and pūrākau, promoting a transformative approach to language in research.
